Samsung au scos primele memorii GDDR5, faster and meaner. Merg la viteze de pana la 24 GB(ytes)ps si consuma cam cu 20% mai putin decat GDDR3 (standardul actual pentru placile grafice high-end). Samples au fost trimise deja la ATI si Nvidia si se asteapta ca in anul urmator sa fie folosite in pacile grafice high-end.
